SICE FES

What is the SICE Festival with Annual Conference?

The SICE Festival with Annual Conference (SICE FES) is the flagship international event of the Society of Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE), a professional organization founded in 1961 with more than six decades of history and leadership in measurement, control, systems engineering, robotics, and related technologies. Building on the over two decades tradition of the SICE Annual Conference, recognized as one of Japan’s most authoritative forums in measurement and control, SICE FES reimagines this heritage as a dynamic academic “festival” that brings together researchers, engineers, students, and industry professionals from around the world. By combining the scientific rigor of the traditional SICE AC with a broader set of interactive, creative, and community-driven activities, SICE FES offers a unique environment for presenting cutting-edge research, fostering collaboration, and exploring emerging directions in science and technology.

Why FES?

Traditionally, SICE has held the SICE Annual Conference (SICE AC) as its flagship event. In recent years, this format has been expanded into the SICE Festival with Annual Conference (SICE FES), envisioned as an academic festival that goes beyond a conventional conference. The Festival integrates the SICE AC with a broader range of activities, promoted in collaboration with the Conference Committee, AC Steering Committee, Executive Committee, and related bodies. Further details will be announced on the official website and social media channels. All members, supporting partners, and colleagues from related disciplines are warmly encouraged to participate.
